Hi all,

Quick question from me:

I have a set of BL4500, and i bought a set of BV5000, can i connect the amp to the speakers without problems?

Asking this because i've tried and and it sound really bad. Tried different settings on the amp, no improvement. Speakers look fine from the outside, is there some internal stuff in there that may need attention?

All this connects into BS4500.

Thanks for any constructive reply!

Siegfried

Update: I just hooked up the BV5000 as passive, sound is terrible and when turning up volume the BC4500 shuts down.

My first B&O!!

Sorry to hear that your woofers in the BV are bust.

But, anyway - if you replace the woofers in the Beovox 5000, it will not be without problems to use them with the Beolab 4500 amps. There is a "bass-boost" in the BL4500 amp to compensate for the smaller cabinet volume of the Beovox 3000/4500 speakers. So if you use Beovox 5000 with the BL4500 amps, there will be way too much bass.
