Hello.
After one month my beoplay A2 is not turning on

I have connected it to the power and the little orange light by the charging dock is turned on. When I press the power button I the light turns on for a second and the dies.
evrn if the battery was dead it should turn in when connected to the power (?)

Appreciate if anyone has an idea.

An Amazon review seemed to imply that for the A2, the power charged the battery and playback used battery even when connected to power. So a completely dead battery won’t allow for playback even if connected. I think you can buy replacement battery on eBay. My 2 cents.

About a year ago my A2 would no longer charge, despite being only lightly used.  I obtained a replacement battery from eB*y, and it was a fairly simple process to replace it.

Frustratingly, the new battery STILL wouldn't take a charge, so I investigated further.  It turned out that the problem was a poor connection between the charger itself and the 'pop-on plug' component.

It seems that there are two metal pins on the charger which should make contact with the detachable plug socket, but these had 'flattened' and no longer touched the plug at the right point - if you look at the plug socket component you'll see the metal contact points, which the pins presumably should align with and touch.  Using a small screwdriver I bent the pins on the charger out a little, so that firm contact was again made between the metal pins and the plug contact points, and afterwards my A2 immediately began to charge.

I use my A2 a few times a week now - still love it - and it's never failed to charge since.  I suspect that many A2's have been consigned to the bin over the years because of this issue.  I hope this helps...
