Hi Beoworlders,

Since yesterday i have a beosound core at home. It replaces my 7 years old playmaker. Playmaker was a good solution for me.

But there is no TuneIn and no multiroom.

My bs core is via aux on my beosound 9000 mk2. On the beosound core line in is also my rega record vinyl player. On bs 9000 are my beolab 18. everything works fine. But an very cool extra for me is, now i can take my vinyl sound to another room with my beoplay a9 mk2 over multiroom. Very cool.

I am very happy.

Greetings from Germany

Moin,

I suppose that you mean.....’there is no multiroom’, when trying to use TuneIn!

Did you set up a (free!) account on TuneIn?

And did you add these credentials to the Core/setup page?

What puzzles me is, that you already have an A9....so I’d assume that the app would already know your settings, if you set up the Core with the same B&O account???

Not a solution from here - just something to consider.

TuneIn definitely works on a Core!

Sorry. My English is not the best. I would say that the playmaker had no multiroom and no TuneIn inside.

Now with the core everything is fine. Integrated TuneIn works well. Multiroom works well too. And i can take the vinyl sound to my a9.

Also - alles bestens!

Viel Spass mir dem Core :-)

Egon,

It’s so nice to read a good news story. Enjoy your beautiful looking / sounding system!

One question: is it possible, that the core automatically can play the tunein source. I turn on the bs 9000 with the beo4 a.mem button. The i can see that the core turn on (white light). Then i use the app to begin the play. No problem for me. But the question is, is this possible in general.

Kann der core automatisch tunein beginnen abzuspielen, wenn ich die bs 9000 einschalte. Ich sehe an der weißen led, dass er angeht. Ich muss dann eben noch die App bedienen.

I’d say, no, not really.

The only way I could think of, is to use the Essence Remote in one of the mixed ir and bt modes.

See the comment from petrobeli at the end of this theead:

https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/17876.aspx

Those new modes allow the Essence Remote to work at the same time with IR and Bluetooth.

They are used in the case you have plugged an Essence Box to the line-in/AUX of an older BeoSound/BeoMaster product. Those new modes would send AUX & volume commands (to the old BeoSound/BeoMaster) via IR, but at the same time prev/next/change source will go to the Essence Box via Bluetooth.’

Thus sending the ir command to the Aux and volume control of the 9000 and the command for source changing to the Core.

Hi folks,

I could not be happier with the core. Now this my setup.

Bs 9000

—> pl —> Beolab 18

—> aux —> pl —> core

Core

A9

Everything works fine.

Now i can via multiroom hear my old cassettes from the late 80s and 90s in my main room.

Very cool.
