Hello everyone.

I have recently bought this beautiful TV B&O Avant 28 CTV. The one with vhs. It has been working great so far with TV, now I have tried hooking up my Xbox one via SCART to HDMI and HDMI to SCART, but no success so far. Do you have any tips ? How do I cange the AV input on this old avant? Is the adapter / cables simply not compatible with such an old TV? Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if you need more Information.

Hi,

A HDMI to AV converter will work.

Example:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/254678328913

Connecting to scart with this adapter.

Example:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303695657331

In the MENU define e.g AV as DVD. Pressing DVD on the remote will now activate the AV scart socket

Alternatively you can skip the second adapter and connect directly to the TV's composite input. If I remember correctly the TV will automatically switch to this input when a signal is detected.

You can also add Camera to the Beo4 list menu and select this input.

Regards

Ravsted

Thanks for your answer. I have used a direkt HDMI to Scart Adapter, the AV adapter is more likely to work? One of these I tried using : HDMI to SCART converter HDMI - black https://www.amazon.de/dp/B015XCA6RG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_8gIHFb7SK4EYS

I will try anyway!

There is no way to change the AV / Input on an Beovision Avant CVT 28 though? I use it with the original BEOLINK 1000 where you can open up the menu via SHIFT + TEXT. The menu is limited also. I have read through the manual.

Anyway, I will try this adapter for now, thanks for your reply.

Hi,

your converter is fine.

In the menu you should find connections.

In there you can define what is connected to each AV (scart) socket.

The V.TAPE socket should already be set to V.TAPE

Set the AV socket to SAT. Pressing SAT on Beolink 1000 will now select that input.

As a quick fix you can unpluck the scart going to the internal VCR.

Connect the converter to this socket.

Press V.TAPE on the remote.

You should see the picture from your converter.

It's a while ago I said goodbye to my Avant 32.

Maybe the menu is called SETUP/SOURCE if it is not called CONNECTIONS
