Picked this up from a house clearance as a non worker, thought I had better check it out before I switch it on.

As I thought new belts required.

Just fitted new belts after removing the old ones that had turned to mush.

Everything else appears ok with one exception the draw doesn't work automatically,  but works manually !

It runs smoothly and quite freely, there is no power on the motor at any time to suggest it wants to work.

Is there a common fault for this I have a service manual but doesn't rearly tell me anything.

Did you also replace the belt for the drawer?  Check to see if the motor for the drawer is working. Did you get your belts from Martin?
