BEO Lab 8000 no sound

Hi and thanks for letting me join the group. 

I have had my Beomaster 3500 system since 1990 and am a big B&O fan. However,  I am now in need of some technical advice please.

I have just bought a pair of beolab 8000s that have just arrived in the Philippines from Europe which I was intending to hook up to my Beomaster 3500 via wireless beoTransmitter and BeoReceiver.

Unfortunately only one speaker seems to work properly. I have swapped the speaker not working to both the receiver that was working and have even connected direct to the Beomaster but no joy.

The green light is on and I have tried Left and Right channels and all I hear is very faint sound.

I have not yet been able to connect direct Line in to test this option as I don’t have the correct cable.

Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
