I have a 20 year old Avant and Beosound 3000. until now the Beosound played through the Avant connect by a masterlink Cable.

I have just after many years bought a pair of beolab 2500 speakers which I have connected and which work fine

However the BEO4 will now not control the Beosound3000.

i have tried everything eg Config A-Opt 1 blah blah but nothing.

Beo4 still controls the Avant perfectly

Do I need to reconnect the beosound3000 to the Avant and then change the Config to A-Opt1 and then disconnect again.

What's left of my hair is being pulled out?

So the BS3000 was set to option 0 and you used the Avant for listening? (just to confirm)

You are sure the BS3000 is set correctly?

Set the BS3000 to STBY

Search the Option,  A.Opt on the Beo4 (not Config)

Choose 1,

Watch if you see the reaction on the BS3000 (the red dot; it is on/ goes off/ and on again)

Then the Beo4 should work (again)

Why did you released the ML cable in your new setup? Leave it! Then you could listen to the BL2500 and Avant speakers together (for music and tv)

Thank you for responding

Moving Beosound to another room hence reason.

Tried that but no red light. Beosound also says “Use TV”
