Hello,

Has anyone here drilled a hole through the wall behind a floorstanding beovision? I am curious about a way to hide cables all together, so Im considering drilling a hole high enough so that the cables cant be seen below the TV. Not sure though if this can be done in a way that looks good from the sides as well is practical.

This is in regards to an Eclipse gen 2.

Hello,

Another way of hiding cables.

I had an aluminum plate cut at a DIY store and glued two brackets to it.

All cables run in the "sock" which passes behind the plate by a triangular cut at the bottom of the plate.

Then, the cables run through the wall and floor and arrive in a cabinet a the basement level where the other sources are placed.

Regards,

Yann.

I’m sure it can be done nicely.

There are “cable hole linings” for desks that maybe can be used for this.

Example:

Yes, I did it for my Avant. On the other side of the concrete wall all equipment is hidden. Considered drilling the hole higher up behind the TV so cables wouldn’t be visible. But the day we move the TV the wall would not be so nice with a hole a meter up from floor, so I placed it at ground level instead.

Yes we use a one or two gang box with brush front plate. Either route the cables in the wall and plaster over or run into a stud wall or trunk.

All depends on the type of wall and stage of install.
