Hello All-

This is my first post and am very glad to have found you all.

I have a Beomaster 2400, Beogram 300, and Beocord 5000 that I have owned since time immemorial. Recently was retired so now have the time to get these out of storage to enjoy.

I am working on the 3000, waiting for parts; going well. 2400 works but will do a major clean up, all looks ok there. Not so much with the 5000. After reading some of your posts regarding difficulties my blood ran cold, but I am determined to do the repairs.

My first problem is trying to get it apart. I removed the teakwood trim and some of the screws on the underside, but I still cannot access the belts. I found Rudy's video on replacing belts, but as I newbie I don't know how to get to that starting point.

Unless I missed something I cannot find any such instructions online.

Hoping for some help.

John

Hi John,

You don't want to dive in on this without a proper B&O service manual for the Beocord 5000 (or any B&O audio components).
Beoworld has service manuals in PDF format here but you have to be a Silver level or higher membership. Well worth it in my opinion.

The Beocord 5000 (Type 47xx) service manual has disassembly instructions. Take a lot of photos so you will be able to reassemble though.
