Hello All,
I am missing a channel on my Beogram 3000 (5228), so i checked the DIN plug, and 2 wires was detached. see photo:
Can someone tell me witch cable goes to what pin?
hmm not easy to see on these images. Maybe someone has a diagram showing whats what?

Actually, the outer pins are always left channel and the brightest color.3- grey or white (left)5- black or red (right)

@AllanDam, forgive me for hijacking your thread but I have a similar question and I don't want to spam with another thread.
I'm in the process of soldering the original DIN cable back on my 1202. According to the service manual the wiring is the same as in 3000.
I have tried testing for continuity between the DIN cable wires and the DIN pins. I managed to map the following:
Cable BLACK = DIN 5 = Pickup RED
Cable GROUND = DIN 2 = Pickup BLUE/GREEN
Cable SHIELD = DIN outer shield = EARTH?
So far so good, this is all the same as written in the service manual.
The DIN cable also has a white/transparent wire but I cannot get any continuity on any pin in the DIN plug. According to the service manual it should be mapped to DIN 3 but my multimeter shows no continuity.
Before I crack open the original DIN plug on the cable, I was wondering whether it's possible that the transparent DIN cable somehow got detached from the pin inside the DIN plug?
On the outside, the plug looks fine and there's no visible mechanical damage to the DIN plug.
Also one more thing. I managed to find an old post of Dillen with instructions on how to safely take the DIN connector apart. I managed to remove the gray plastic cap from the plug and I managed to view the pins from the solder side. I nudged the transparent wire and it looks like it's still soldered to DIN pin 3. It's mysterious how come I'm not getting any continuity on this pin :/
Just some feedback from my side regarding this topic in case someone else will experience similar problems. After doing some research I have found out that it is possible that a wire can tear/break inside the cable due to mechanical stress (e.g. pulling).
I started cutting the cable and measuring whether I can get any continuity. After I cut off cca 25cm of the cable I was able to get continuty and I soldered the DIN plug back on and voila, the cable works and I get sound on both channels.
The only down side is that the cable is now 1m long but it will be sufficient for my needs.
