Beosound 8 accessories

Hi!

I found a good deal on a beosound 8 a couple weeks ago so I went ahead and purchased it.

It works, even though the iPod needs to be wiggled around a bit for the speaker to recognize it because the 30 pin connector is broken at the edge.

Pieces are missing like the wall brackets, the control, the back cover and the aluminum feet. Can someone please guide me to where I can purchase the wall brackets and maybe a 30 pin dock replacement at a reasonable price?

Probably this gets asked in most BS8 threads but have anyone found a 30 pin bluetooth receiver that works with this system?

Hello, @realeduardog, and welcome to the forums.  Since nobody yet answered after a few days, here's my advice: (1) See the YouTube video referenced in the following post, for removing the 30-pin adapter entirely: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/34832.aspx .  (2) I am using mine with an Apple AirPort Express connected to the line-in, and "any" Bluetooth receiver should work just as well, only not connected to the 30-pin. That connector is ugly and yours is flaky, so using it "just for old times sake" seems less wise than a simple line-in cable.  (3) My unit came with feet/legs and no wall brackets, from which I gather that was a separate purchase.  Therefore, they might not be readily available for-free from some kind owner, which is the bargain you're hoping for.  I purchased extra feet at a dealer -- stupidly expensive, US$40 a pair IIRC? -- so the wall brackets might still be available, though you may not like the price.  (4) stbbrackets.co.uk has a cool extending corner wall mount; also costly, alas.  Good luck, and if you DIY, don't forget to help others: post it here!

I've tried opening leo's video before but it keeps redirecting me to a "video unavailable" page, maybe he deleted it??

$40 for a pair of aluminum legs sounds pricy, but not crazy. Hopefully the brackets are in the same price range.

Probably my best option is to head to the closest dealer, even though I've been thinking about how to recreate the brackets with something really simple.

I'm going to take my time and document it if i decide to do it myself.
