My Beogram CDX-2 has recently started to play-up, the lid needs a little manual help to open and one of the segments of the LCD (status) display has ceased to work, so it's time to address these issues.

After much head scratching (B&O are very crafty in the construction of these machines !)  I've finally got to the belt on the lid motor (about to order a new belt from Martin - but the other problem is for the techies here.

A simple question, is the LCD dispaly soldered in place on the PCB or is it a plug-in module ?  I've carefuly attempted to (gently)  lift it but it's seems too well adhered to it's host.
Any knowledge, hints and suggestions would be very welcome.

Oh, and a Happy New Year to all - let's hope 2021 will be a better one.

The display is soldered in.
Need a new display, ask at Beoparts.
