So 2020 is running to it’s end. B&O launched a couple of new products this year beside some colour extensions. But more important is what kind of new B&O products will 2021 bring us?

I would like to see a beolab replacement for the 17’s / 6000’s. Will these be in the pipeline?

And any other ideas or best kept secrets about planned B&O introductions in 2021?

Beofan with current setup Beovison Eclipse 55, Beosound 35, Beolab 6000, Beolab 11, Beoplay A9 Mk4, Beoplay E6

It’s an interesting thought about some BL6000 replacements, I hadn’t considered really that before. I guess that could be a good seller if the price point was right. I do think the BL17s fill that gap to a large extent but it depends what a customer wants from a design point with their BL18s.

Earlier in the year I would have hoped for another tv option; something the size of the Contour but with a different design. However, as time has passed I’ve become more content with my BV11-46 and thought that I’d just keep that until it dies then look at the market again. It’s still actually a really good tv and sometimes I think I want to change just for the sake of having something different; but actually, the BV46 suits all my needs perfectly and is still by far the best choice for my small spaced living room.

A new music system would interest me now. I always loved the BeoSound 2300/2500/3000/9000 designs; the BeoCentre 2 with its amazing wing movement, the stylish BeoSound/Master 5 and after some time (because it didn’t appeal immediately) the Moment. So perhaps B&O can conjure up there magic once again and come up with something that none of us ‘really’ want... but will all buy anyway because it totally captures our imagination. I think the market is flooded enough now with portable Bluetooth speakers so not too keen on any more of those but another BeoSound 3 radio could be interesting too, and some more landline/mobile telephones are something I would particularly love to see and would buy in a heartbeat. The one thing my home is missing is a decent landline telephone system; preferably one with a lot less wiring and much easier setup this time round! Cheers, Simon.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

There was little or no 'magic' with either of those two products. Both were seriously flawed. I asked my dealer to remove the BS/BM5 after 3 months. Was god-awful in so many ways. So flawed. Software was shocking. Cables everywhere. Moment doesn't sound too much better in terms of software.

I think B&O has had it's fingers burned by these devices and I can't see another coming out. You just can't compete against the Spotify or Music app on your iOS or Android device and, as a result, the number of purchasers decrease by the week.

Who uses a landline in 2020? :)

Just one remark. You want a new landline phone? In 2021?

I have u plugged my landline and BeoCom 6000 in 2005!

LOL! I understand both your comments but the fact is I have little to no mobile reception in my area, so for me, I really do need some landline phones! I still love the BeoCom’s from years gone by and will more thank likely buy them again; a couple of BeoCom 6000s and maybe a BeoCom 2 again, all of which I’ve owned in the past. No harm hoping for a newer version though, you never know with B&O! Never really understood the point of the BeoLine PSTN as I think this could be easily bypassed/integrated so it would be interesting to see a newer version from this perspective. Simon.
