Beosound 9000 no option settings 5 and 6 possible

My BS 9000 MK III can be set to options 0, 1, 2 but not to 5 or 6. What fault could it be? Thank you for any hints.

You will need a software update to version 3.4 which introduced options 5 & 6

It was introduced in manufacturing from serial number18441245

Ah, O. K., so that´s why, thank you Keith. I researched according to your information and found that the update has to be done by exchanging the respective chip as posted in threads before.

Don’t know where you are at, or if this would be any help.....but late last year my dealer here in the US told me the chip was still available to upgrade my Beosound 3000 to add options 5 and 6. I was very surprised it was still available.

Thanks for information, I will check availability in Germany in case of an upgrade. Could you give an indication about the costs in the US, please?

In general I find it amazing that a lot of older accessories and parts are still available. E. g., I recently acquired a Beosystem 3 MK II and needed the two cables for connection of the BV 4 panel (steering the panel and using the integrated IR sensor). Both have been still available at B&O.
