I recently got a pair of BeoLab 8000 with an Auto ON/OFF problem. Here's the situation.
Speaker 1:When the power cord is plugged in, the LED becomes red, I can hear the relay switching the AMP to ON, and I am able to play music via PowerLink and RCA.When the music stops, the relay does not switch back, so the AMP stays ON, though the LED is still red.
Speaker 2:When the power cord is plugged in, the LED becomes green, the relay switches the AMP to ON. But within 5 seconds it switches back to OFF and the LED becomes RED. Within a few secs, it again switches ON and the LED becomes green. This back and forth switching then goes on and on.
Any solution or tip is welcome!
Additional:
Both speakers have been thoroughly cleaned, removing the sticky old foam. And also the PCB has been checked for shorts or broking traces.
On speaker 1, the relay has been replaced with a new one.
I couldn't find any track or foam damage. When playing music through line in all would be fine for an hour or so and then 1 speaker would drop into standby. Now using powerlink input and working fine.
Not sure why line in not stable on both speakers.
