Beo Vision 7

I bought a second hand Beo Vision 7 for my kids lounge, i run a stong STB for digital. The picture is great but the sound won't stay constant and the volume flutuates constanly. I have gone in to the sound menu and the front speaker is set to Beo7 i have no side speakers, but there dosn't seem to a setting for that? Does anybody know if this is a set up problem or a repair needed?
