I have a B&O system to which I have recently added a Beosound Core. The system, all "3500", consists of Beogram; Beocord; Beogram CD; Beomaster; 2no Beovox CX100 and 2no Beovox CX50. I want to add a wireless speaker, for another room, compatible with these units, can you recommend a B&O unit?
Dear Houlden,What are you looking for?Since you have a Beosound core, practically all B&O's newest wireless speakers will connect harmoniously with the Beosound core.Personally, it depends on the size of your room and design. In my case, I prefer the Beosound 2 over anything else.It is already quite powerful, it has that aluminium look that is unmistakable, and as far as I know, reliable. If you are after sound quality but still compact, Beosound Balance. It has the same tall design profile as the Beosound 2. It even has more output and because it has the newer technology, it sounds louder than the Beosound 2 and you have a sound direction control with the Balance. If you want to connect the Balance with Beosound Core with Beolink Multiroom, unfortunately not possible as the website does not state Beolink Multiroom. Best bet would only be Airplay 2 or Google Chromecast with the Balance. For a floor-standing speaker, the A9 is the best choice you have. Powerful sound and the iconic newer B&O design. Although it is not a slap of aluminum like the Beosound 2, the sound quality itself is really worth it.

It depends on what you are expecting respectively how the Core is integrated with the 3500 setup!
If you ‘only’ need a distribution of the Core-sources, you have gotten the answer already.
However, if you want to distribute everything from the 3500 setup (that is, if your new Core is connected there via A.Aux), you will need a Masterlink distribution.
This is normally cabled - but you can use the Beolink Wireless 1 solution instead (you have to buy this second hand).
In some cases this works well, but there are situations, where people have had troubles, sometimes leading to failure.
