Beogram 1902 won't lift arm when playing stops

Hi,

I know this has been discussed earlier, but not sure what the resolution is.

After reading the old thread "Just Bought A Beogram 1902" my 1902 now positions the pickup and lowers it onto the record as it should. But when playing has finished, the arm doesn't lift before swinging off the record platter. The arm does eventually lift, though. It is just a little late to the party...

Should I just continue working on the brass pin that controls the lifting pad on which the arm rests, or are there other components that would benefit from a little care?
