Hello, new to the forum!
I have recently bought a full working Beomaster 1000 and would like to hook up a Bluetoothdongle on the inside of the casing so it turns on when reciever is turned on, but I cannot find any DC power on the board?
I have done same setup on an old Philips NG 1410, but there the lamps run on DC so setup was easy.
Is there DC power available anywhere inside?
Yes, of course there is DC inside.The challenge is, that Beomaster 1000 has positive ground and your Bluetooth device will have negative ground - AND - it will have common ground for power and signal.In other words, when you connect the ground power lead from your Bluetooth device and the ground lead from its output you will short the power supply in the Beomaster.
I think I would look at rectifying and filtering, regulating etc. the AC voltage used for the dial lamps instead.It runs on a separate secondary transformer winding in the Beomaster so will easily accept to have a common ground point with the rest of the Beomaster,and it will easily accept the small extra load.
