Beo Essence Mk1

Hi There

I have a problem which I find this is the only place I found to solve them. My essence whilst streaming music to me B&O 3500 system suddenly stopped and whatever I have tried I can't get it working. I reset it and removed it from my app(mistake)and it says it can't find it. I stram spotify through my phone or iPad through the essence and then to my system. My mac is informing me that it is on the network and pings happily. It also is happy to pair with essence remote. Has anybody got any ideas or has this thing died on me!!

Stewart, the Essence MkI is not NL-compatible, so it won’t be auto-discovered by the app.

From the home page of the app you need to go into your profile (top right corner), then select PRODUCTS and add it there.

And from within PRODUCTS is where you will change any settings in future.

I’ve had difficulties to make the iOS app discovering my Essence mk1 too.

But... it works smoothly on Android

So, if you’re using an iDevice, ask someone with an Android phone to help you first. Once the Essence is registered on your B&O account, everything will be fine on your iDevices.

Remember you have to connect your device to the wifi generated by your Essence —> read the manual

And make sure you pick the Essence mk1 in the app, not the mk2. Mk1 is found in other products.
