Have had this issue for a couple of years, were the unit just switches off then comes back on at full volume, none of the controls work and you have to just unplug. Sometime it will go for 6 months with no problems. Just recently though it’s become unusable because it happens so regularly. So wondered if there where any known issues that could cause this, no expert but feels like a capacitor issue?

I would replace the three large filter capacitors as the first thing.

Thanks!

Any ideas on a suitable replacement/supplier? Just can’t see anything like them!

You will have to find a conventional 2-pin type and arrange them accordingly.
