Beogram CD 3300 lid problem

Hi guy's, I am new to the forum. Can anyone tell me how i disconnect the lid of my Beogram CD 3300 from the hinges?    i am trying to get to the lid gear to replace that and it looks like i have to get the lid off before i can get to the gear.
