Looked at the service manual, but I am completely baffled by how the programming lid lift mechanism works on the Beocenter 7700. Feeling discouraged.
I just came across this post:
https://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/34814.aspx
For me, I have three pieces that don't seem to connect properly:
1) damper plate, the bow shaped plastic piece, which apparently mounts onto a little cylindrical protrustion on the chassis.
2) friction damper plate (aka "hinge piece"), looks like this, and connects into the lid itself, and then also connects to the damper plate (the bow-shaped piece).

3) a torsion bar, that has a hook on the end near the two pieces above.
How the heck do these connect? I note in the forum post above that the damper plate mounts into the chassis, and then the little flat part on it mounts into hinge piece. But from there, I can't see how the torson bar connects to anything. Is there something more that I am missing? A spring?
Nothing seems to line up properly.
Thanks for any help!
