BBC no longer on Netradio

Ive been happily listening to BBC radio stations on my Avant until last week. Now, nothing.  Other stations unaffected.  Today there is a BBC message saying their radio stations are no longer available on this device.  Anyone know whats happening?

Assuming it’s the same broader issue with BBC and Tunein - I.e. the BBC want everyone to use the Sounds app, and if older devices can’t/won’t share the right usage data with the BBC, then the service is withdrawn

Such a shame that listening to stuff has become so complicated these days!!

This is a known issue as the previous poster mentioned. 

You may be able to solve it by adding a custom URL through the TuniIn app.   

Otherwise, a Raspberry Pi can be set up to re-stream the BBC station for your Avant. 

It seems unconscionable that BBC would remove a service from hardware you have owned for years.

That is a funny one.

Yesterday late - as I read the thread - I turned on netradio on my V1 and saw that indeed it could not connect to the BBC channels.

Same there this morning.

However, on my Avant MK1 they play just fine (although rather lowres’ed at 128, which is no joy with bigger speaker setups).

And yes, they are on the same (wired) home network!

Anyway - at least when it comes to the V1/Avant MK1 platform - there is no TuneIn working there.

This is probably the same network that B&O is using with the Bang & Olufsen Radio - at least I hope so.

GlynRJ does not state which version of the Avant he is using - so a bit hard to say something to that really.

As always, details, details, details help a lot, when troubleshooting.

 

But alas, now I have to find out, why the stations are running fine on one tv and not on the other ;-(
