Change your Password if it is less than 8 Characters -- (ANNOUNCEMENT)

As an on-going program to ensure Beoworld remains secure I have updated the requirements for members passwords.

For ALL new member registrations the minimum number of characters in the password must be eight (8).

Any member who currently has a password of less than 8 characters is asked to change it immediately via the members portal at https://portal.beoworld.org

Any member who upgrades or renews their silver or gold member will be force to change their password PRIOR to upgrading or renewing otherwise they will get an error message during the renewal/upgrade process.

Apologies in advance for this potential inconvenience, but security is our priority.

I'm sorry Keith, maybe I'm blind, but I'm not seeing where I change my password at the portal link you provided.  When I log in, I can only edit my personal information which doesn't include my password.  Is this because I'm not silver or gold?  I was going to private message you, but maybe others will have this same problem.

EDIT:

NEVER MIND:  I need to enter my email to reset my password.  Doh!

Leaving this here in case other are slow (like me).

Most members who normally want/need to change their password have forgotten it, hence why you don't need to login.

Just enter your email address and press send, then open the email and click on the link,

I entered my email twice (the one that is in my profile details), no mail received (nor in the spam) ?!?

I have sent you an email from my personal email account because your email provider FREE.FR blocks ALL email's from Beoworld.

For a long time now I have tried to get them to unblock us, they say they will do it, but never do.

I know you tried three times because I got three bounced email's

Do you have a different email account you can use such as gmail?

Thanks Keith … good that you are on the ball with protecting us and the site … discovered I had to change during my renewal process. My old password was probably a hacker’s dream use case Surprise the new one is now industrial strength Angry
