Hai all,I'm fixing up a TX2 and have the problem that the tonearm goes down and follows the groves but the carriage doesn't follow. Another probably connected issue is that it doesn't detect the end of the record and just gets stuck in a loop there.
I have checked the bulb in the carriage and there's still light in that, but I'm thinking it might be the Tracking Photo Sensor, does that make sense or could there be other mechanical issues going on?
ThanksPeter
A bad LDR would be my guess.Replace it and adjust the interrupter.Check the belts too.
Parts here.

Thanks Martin,
The LDR was my guess too. The interrupter? What would that be?Regarding belts I have two of your fine belts on it :-)Peter
The interrupter is the metal arm, that interrupts the light from the lamp shining on the LDR.
The adjustment is a small excentric, mentioned in the servicemanual.
Belts are fine, then.
Yes belts are very fine :-)
Ahh that one, just looked at it today, will check the servicemanual.
