Hello everyone!
I have an issue with a Beogram 2400 (type 5716) where the speed will not stay constant. There is noticeable fluctuation in the speed that best can be described as a flutter. I have replaced the belt with one from Beo-parts for this model thinking this would solve the problem, but alas, it did not. The speed will constantly fluctuate. I have a strobe disc and the line moves back and forth. It does not move steadily in one direction or another (as in the platter moving fast or slow) it bounces and will not hold steady.
I have used this strobe disc on my 2402 and another 2400 (type 5716) to check the speed and these other beograms run steady.
Any insights from other members on what to try is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Bad speed setting trimmers.Bad capacitors.Cracked solder joints.Dry motor bearings.Any combination of the above.
