I am moving house soon and of course want to move my Beoplay V1 40 inch television with me.

All NL cabling have been planned (advantage of newly built home!), but now I realize that I currently have a wall bracket with hinges on the right side and in the new house it needs to hinge from the LEFT.

- Do I need to purchase a new wall bracket or can I somehow tweak my existing offical bracket (seems difficult because the lower beam is longer than the upper beam so I cannot simply turn it upside down)

- If I need to purchase a new bracket, I might go for the ceiling/hanging option. Anybody has seen that in real life?

- Any other tips and trick to consider for planning cabling? I will use it free hanging without STB, I have foreseen 2x power connections, 2 LAN network cables and 2 shielded network cables to connect my Beolab3's

thanks

You can actually use the bracket in both ways, here's the manual: Bracket V1

If you have the house for it and it fits into your interior, its GORGEOUS Yes - thumbs up

Don't forget, its best to get the full load of connections (also HDMI) ready in the wall or ceiling if you hang the television. What you don't need right now, could be in future.... (experience spoken)

I went through manual of the bracket but couldn't find a confirmation that the setup can be changed from right to left hinge.

Can anybody explain if it can be changed?

I asked the same question a few weeks ago ( can't find the post though) and was told that they were not the same

You don't need to buy a new bracket. Look at what I did in my old apartment. > https://www.instagram.com/p/yuwPRERcSL/?taken-by=erikvonagnar

And I would not recommend you to buy the ceiling bracket because it looks very weird.

Hi Erik,

I guess from your picture you have just turned the bracket upside down, how secure is this (as have a 2 year old who I will image at some point pull on the TV)?

Does the bracket come apart so you can move the bracket part to be the right way round?

Thanks

Toby

Hi Toby

I have not turned the bracket upside down. The wall bracket is placed in the same way is it would be for (turning the TV to the right).

But instead of attach the bracket on the right side of the TV, I attach the bracket to the left side.

So the bracket is turning 180 degrees to make it (flat) and turn the left way.

Hope you understand my bad instructions.Wink

The bracket isn't reversible.

Some way I remember, that I had to order the 'right'-sided bracket, when I bought my V1-32.

The instructions/user guide on the homepage however, does not indicate that there should be two different versions = R/L.

Could it be that this was changed along the way?

Hello,

Would anyone have the V1 Bracket pdf mentioned earlier in these posts?

Thanks, Beoaus.

Dear Moderators (and beoaus),

I have two pdfs for the Beoplay V1 wall brackets:

- One for Type numbers 4726 / 4737

- One for Type numbers 4752 / 4753

I’m happy to submit them for inclusion in the Beoworld User Guide library if you tell me where to send them. They’re no longer on the B&O zendesk site, as far as I can see.

Are you saying you switched it from the right to the left? I need to know how you got the mount off the bar

The wall bracket is reversible, I’ve done it with my own. You need to take it apart at the hinges and switch the poles top / bottom so that fit in the body of the TV correctly.

James is correct. I have taken photographs but unable to attach them using my iPad Pro or my iPhone X. If you need any further assistance let me know. You may be able to view the photos I have taken and uploaded of my V1-32 by clicking on my username so try that too.

Assuming you can see the photos (or even if you can’t) please note the holes either side on the underside on the television. You place a screwdriver inside these and press lightly on a button that will release the poles, which you then slide out. You may wish to use a torch to peer trough the holes so you can locate and see the release buttons beforehand.

Adjust the bracket/hinges to the side you want to use and reinsert the poles. These will automatically click in place. Be careful not to slide the poles in too quickly or they will go too far. You will then have to pull hard (very hard) to get them out, which is a cumbersome task.

The screwdriver pushed into the holes is only used for releasing the poles and it is easier if you have 2 people so you can both do a hole at the same time. It is still possible for 1 person to do it, just a little trickier.

All the best,
Simon.
