What are we thinking about the upcoming BeoPlay EQ - ANC and has someone more info on them, then this picture below.

Well, I’ve had all the E8 generations including Sport so far, in addition to currently two pairs of H95s. For style and office commuting and days when I don’t have the headphones with me, I’ve always had the E8 3rd Gens in my bag. I love their portability. I was initially very impressed with the E8 Sport, especially since all my experiences (both good and bad) with the regular E8, for its practicality, where the fin design would even provide a better sound in addition to a better fit. Used them for running, excellent for that purpose. Sadly, the rubber fins on the Sport have become too lose over a longer period of daily use, and washing them with soap hasn’t helped too much with a better hold either. The extra fins have been rather unavailable too. I’ve always had a dilemma regarding the sound, and while I think the E8 are an overall successful product in my eyes (despite my few negative experiences), the sound I’ve always found too harsh on the highs. Given the fact that several pairs have died on me when not actively keeping them charged for a few months, I am not sure I’ll get the EQ.
I used to spend the money they cost once or twice a year, and after a while it starts to feel like pieces of clothes or shoes that you need to throw away after some use because of «wear». It’s weird when it’s electronics we are talking about. There is always something one could improve on this range (better fit on the E8, nicer style on the Sport, better reliability/quality on both, etc.), and I’m curious about the EQ, but not for its ANC, whose lack people have complained a lot about. Honestly I couldn’t care less about ANC, since in my ears the E8 gens have always provided great passive cancellation. I don’t even use AANC too much on my H95s either.
This time around I’ll think twice before I get a pair. Of course I’m hoping the EQ would address some of the child sicknesses of the E8.
