Hi all,
I have a nice Beogram 8002 turntable that I want to put in order for my own use. After replacing all electrolytic capacitors, checking the semi conductors and doing all adjustments mentioned in the service manual, everything works very well again, exept there is no auto return at the end of the record.
The stylus set down point is spot on, I adjusted this with the switch S1. But at the end of the record the stylus stays in the last groove. Only when I manually force the tonearm about 1 cm towards the center of the record, auto return engages and moves the arm to the rest position.
I suppose that the auto return point is set by counting the revolutions of the threaded arm transport rod? Or am I missing something?
I really hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks anyway!
A question for the Beogram 8002 specialists:
Something I do not understand about my Beogram 8002:
the set-down point at the beginning of the record is correct, but auto return at the end of the record does not happen when the stylus is in the end groove.
I have to push the tonearm a little further to activate the return.
However, the rather special PAUSE function works correctly, so I think the optical revolution counter of the arm movement works O.K.
How come that auto return does not?
Best regards, Frans.
