Hi everyone,
I thought this may interest some BeoWorlders - I've come across some nice thick orange curly cables that could be ideal for the old Beovox RedLine speakers and I wondered if anyone else was still using these?
The cables are approx. 3m long when fully stretched, they contract to 50cm when coiled and they "comfortably" sit at a partially stretched length of around 1m-1.5m.
They are thicker than the original B&O cables externally at 7mm diameter and they have 1.5mm squared stranded copper conductors inside (so much better performance than the original cables).
What do you think? Would you like me to post some photos of the cables or is this not of interest anymore?
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

I have a pair of originals somewhere from when my brand new RL60's were wall mounted ( I.e. before the thumb descended)!
Ban boring signatures!
Hi,
Here is a picture of the new style of cable:-
What do you think?
Very nice. Are you limited to just the one color?-sonavor
Hi sonavor,
What colour are you looking for please? I will then see what I can find!
Hi Steve,I was thinking gray and/or black.
Thanks,sonavor
Thanks for this. Please can you drop me an email at steve@soundsheavenly.co.uk with details of the cable lengths you need so I can check what is available?
Perhaps you could specify a custom design with different colour cores at a site like this (there are a few about) -

Thanks Puncher,
I will ask fellow Beoworlders to please email me some details of the cable lengths and colours that they are looking for, then I will be trying a few factories like this one to see what can be done!

Sorry for the delay in replying - I am pleased to confirm that I have now been able to source some longer (and nicer) curly cords in gloss black:-
These cables comfortably stretch to around 4m (5m is possible but they are pulled a bit tight at this length), they are approx. 1.5m long when coiled. The cable has a round cross-section, approx. 5mm in diameter. If anyone would like more information, please let me know!
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately these are 2-core cables, so you would only get mono sound when using this for headphones.
Hi Peter,
Thanks for uploading the photos, your system looks superb! Good to see the curly cables fit in well
Originals or not ?
https
They aren't original, but I've had a few versions specially made recently to try to recreate the look and style of the B&O cables.
Thanks.

Yup - that's them!
Thanks Steve.
But why should i buy new Cables ?
I mean, i think my cables are way betterlooking than the cables seen in the comments below
/B
If you have the original curly cords, then I agree that they are the best! Whilst I can't match them exactly, there are a few options to get new cables that are nearly as good. I would always go with the original cables (if you are lucky enough to find some) for that iconic look.
Steve, do you still stock curly cables such as these? I have a pair of Beovox 3000 that I would like to bring to new use on a wall where I cannot hide the cables. I figure it best to show the cables, and spiraled would look great. I would only need the 2P DIN jack at one end.
Kind regards from Copenhagen!
Hi StKong,
Thanks for your enquiry. I am sorry but this cable has to be custom built and so it will not be available until after the UK Corona virus restrictions have been lifted in approx. 3 to 6 months time. Our standard cables on the website are available for immediate shipping as normal. Thank you for your patience.
Let me know when you can make these again. I’m interested. Maybe a pair of grey. Or red. Would really look amazing with my RL7000 :-)
Hi Jonatan,
Welcome to Beoworld! I am sorry but these cables are no longer available.
