A number of years ago I disabled the tuners on my BeoVision 8-40 in order to assign "TV' to my Virgin Media box via HDMI. I would now like to re-enable the tuners but for the life of me can't figure out how - the manual tells me how to disable them, but not how to get them back. Suggestions gratefully received!
Hi and welcome to Beoworld!
Have a look at this thread and see if it answers your question (particularly Keith's posts, not mine!): https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/45066/326122.aspx#326122
Thanks - I had a look at that thread. Unfortunately when I go to Options, TUNER SETUP is missing.
I think you're trying to enable the DVB tuner : the line to activate is not "tv tuner" but "DVB HD". If that doesn't do anything maybe try to see what's inside the service menu : Menu 0 0 Go.

The Service Menu would have been my next suggestion too - basically do the reverse of what I first wrote (and struckout) in that linked thread.
Thank you - unfortunately I can't see "DVB HD" anywhere either. The attached pics show the Service menu and DTV setup. Beginning to think it's a hardware problem.
In the Service Mode, under MONITOR is there a 'Reset to Factory' option? If you are happy to restore any other settings lost, it could be worth a try of this option.
Alternatively, I noticed this in the service manual - should be under the 'Product Type' menu:
PUC TYPE ENABLED - DISABLED
When ENABLED there is no analog tuner, no video distribution and no DVB.
Used in BV10-40 MKII US, type 9573, BV10-46 MKII US, type 9567 and BV8-40
MKII US, type 9563.
Thank you so much, that was it! Both tuners visible now.
Excellent news - thanks for letting us know!
