This week I bought a Beogram 7000. Works like a charm! Weakest spot is probably the age/quality of the element, but for now I am very please with it!

All week I have been player records that have not been used for over 15 years. I have a lot of fun with this machine and enjoy this trip through memory lane.

I think I will visit a store this weekend to search some nice records from the early 80's.

Any ideas on great records to buy or thoughts on the beogram 7000 you want to share?

Regards,

Bieele

Which cartridge does it have ??

For records,  Amazon has a lot of remastered 180 gram vinyl records, and there are a lot of other sellers offering the same, even original second hand vinyl, just search the web and you shall findLaughing

It has a MMC5 element, but not in a very good shape I believe....

The sound is okay, but not as great as it should be.

I bought my first record in many many years last weekend a 180 gram remastered version of Ten by Pearl Jam, this album is one of my all time favorites!

But the sound was somewhat disappointing, certainly not better then my old worn scratched records from the early 80's. I have a strong concern that this is linked to the cartridge and will try a new one later this week I hope!
