I have a Beomaster 7000 and a Beogram CD7000 that I'm trying to connect to Masterlink using a BLC (model 1612)

Software level is 1.1 for both the Beogram and Beomaster. Is this compatible with Masterlink integration?

If not can it be upgraded?

Hi, I run a BeoMaster 4500 (SW 2.0) and 6500 (SW 1.5) with 1611s (SW 1.3) on MasterLink. I would reckon that as your 7000 set is newer it should work. Be sure to use a correctly wired AAUX or DataLink cable (Steve can get you one).

….and be sure to connect the converter to the mains after the other components have been connected to the mains.

P.S. I am pretty sure it will work.

Beomaster Software 1.1 would work fine with Masterlink, it’s the newest sw that was built in from the factory.

If you want the system to be a part of a setup where the speakers are connected to a Beovision and you are using a 2-way remote you can get a special software 1.3

The newest software for the Beogram cd is sw1.2, but that has no influence on the Masterlink compatibility.

Is it possible to update the same in the CD? I need the BeoLink 7000 to show tracks about 14 in the red display which is possible with the last software revision. Thanks

It is possible to change the eprom part no. 8342394 to get Sw 1.2, but I don’t think it is available from B&O anymore

How is it replaceable? When I looked inside I couldn’t find similar chip as when I replaced it in my BeoMaster 7000 and 3500. Do you have a picture, how does it look or is it soldered to the circuit board?

Unlike the one in Beomaster 7000 it’s soldered directly onto the circuit board.

it has 28 pin and looks much  like the one in BM7000, but I can’t remember how to insert a picture….

Okay I understand. That doesn’t sound like a sw that was made available as a spare part then and less likely someone would have a copy of the files. Or am I wrong? I would be okay to make the replacement but not sure how to get the chip of file for it.
