I have two of these remote wheely’s and a lot of scattered info on these is spread of the forums but i am missing a thread with comprehensive first hand user (compatibility) information.
These brilliant and absolute timeless remotes can in fact still be used with many pieces of B&O equipment even without the white box!
when I bought my Beovison 11 many years ago, my own dealer and another one had absolute no clue you where able to use the wheely with it. We used the BV11 a lot for music listening and the table remote is perfect for controlling volume, skipping tracks and play/pause.
Also using another wheely now with my Beosound Level and that as well works very very good without any stability (connection-losing) issues. I searched the B&O website and could not find a list so perhaps we can make one ourself. I must admit buying the wheely super cheap from a closing dealer but even for the normal price I think anyone with the bigger Beoplay speakers should consider these brilliant B&O gadgets.
after searching many of the scattered topics it seems that most problems exist with full essence setups, meaning using the wheely in combination with the white box.
resume:
both setups without the white box, just the wheelies.
With Beovision 11 in IR mode working perfect
With Beosound Level non GVA working perfect (Bluetooth low energy mode)
I use the wheely remote to controle the volume/mute sound of my BV14. The BeoRemote One BT remains on the couch, the wheely remains on my desk. When on my desk I mainly (95%) listen to music... so no need to have other functionality than volume... Works perfectly.
