Eclipse 65V1-32Beosound M5Essence MK2BLI
Hello All
Today the speaker was just RED LED again, went home for lunch, speaker didnt turn on with the others.
Does anyone know of a great repair shop or is it time for a new chassis?
Long shot - but take a look at my post https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/50149.aspx
I replaced some capacitors in one of my speakers. Capacitors are generally the most likely electronic part to fail in any electronics...
If you're competent, you could take a quick look, as I did, but my BL5 did not exhibit the same issue. It's possible that if the capacitors fail in one of the power supplies, the unit could shut down.
Other than that, it's probably a new chassis, and as I have experienced, I would expect the other to fail in relatively short order. If the serial numbers are close together, then they will have been made at the same time and have had the same lifetime of usage.

Hey mate, where did you order the new chassis from? I'm in the same boat from sounds (pun intended) of it and need to source a new chassis.
Cheers Sean - I tried my local dealer, but will try ringing around a few more places. Please let us know how you go.
Just a quick update on mine. I managed to source a DSP board (PCB 5) and a ICE 1000A amp for the upper woofer (it previously had an intermittent crackle). After replacing both parts and transferring the speaker calibration settings IC (IC304 on PCB 5), all is well in the world again!
