Hi all,
Thank you for this forum, I'm new here but I enjoy reading the posts.
I wanted to restore the old turntable from my father a Beogram 3000 from 1972, I cleaned and put some oil in the motor and now it's running again but it is so noisy... I've decided to give up and look for a newer model...
I'm really interested by the 5500 or the last one the 7000 or any wih this tangent arm...
Which one will you advise to find to be the most reliable one?
Thank you for your help.
PB

Hi,
i Know this is why I tried full day yesterday
i don’t think this is only the idler wheel, some vibration also on the case…and no music out of it…too many issues…
All the issues can be tackled, believe me.
Those are old turntables but no problems are final.
Just a drop of oil here and there isn’t enough. You need to put it apart and clean everything, possibly the motor too.
But if you don’t feel up to it, find someone who can!
Hi Jacques,
do you know someone in France that can fix it for a reasonable price ?
thks
Honestly no. And I’m just a hobbyist. Sorry.
