Hello, does anyone know if upgrade kits for Beosound 9000 from MK1 to MK3 are still available?
Alternatively, does anyone know if new lasers for Beosound 9000 MK1's are still available?
BS 9000 Type number? 2526 ...have vam 12.4
2521 have 12.6 ... usuly..

Type 2526 can have both. You only know for certain when you look at the drive more closely. 12.6 is very hard to replace. All pickups you find on internet are noisy and most unreliable. That even counts for 12.4. A lot of these are with poor quality.

Thank you for the information. I'll check the type and try and remove the laser unit for further research.
Confirmed it's a VAM 1205
Replaced laser, it was pretty easy! I used a new VAM 1205, and now it works beautifully.
