Please help!

I have a Beovision 9, and have connected a Projectiondesign projector to display 2, DVI-D out. I have an DVI-D to HDMI converter both on tv and projector.

When press format 0 on the Beo4 the picture on Beovision 9 closes, and the sound still works perfect.

The problem is when I press format 0, this message on the projector appears:

"WARNING- CONTENT IS PROTECTED- SELECT ANOTHER SOURCE"

I have try to connect my projector directly to Apple TV, and this works great. The problem is I need to use my Beovision 9 as speaker. I have been thinking maybe to use a HDMI splitter on my apple tv, and the "picture mute" on the TV. Then it could work fine?

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks!

Hi Andreas

Are you able to find out what software level your BeoVision 9 is running. This sounds like an HDCP issue which might be resolved by a software update. Out of interest have you tried Display 1 socket output to see if this is replicated on this socket, if so it could be a cable issue?

Regards

Hi Stuart,

thanks for responding!

This is an Beovision 9 MK1, so this is one of the first models of this in the marked. If there is an HDCP issue, can it be solved by an opgrade of Beomaster 3? Can I by my self do this upgrade, or does it need an autorised Beo dealer to do this?

I have tryed out socket 1 also, but same problem appears. I have try the cable on a different setup, and there are no faults on the cable.

Hi Andreas

No worries! I think it could be HDCP then. The BeoSystem 3 is sw updateable via an authorised dealer/service agent. It would be best to contact your local dealer to arrange a call out. The latest software build is 967, you can check yours in the customer service menu.

Best of luck

Stuart
