Hello there

I own a venerable MX6000 that I am trying to hook up to my Macbook pro so I can watch films etc.

I have bought an HDMI - SCART converter, and plugged it all in, but the picture on the screen is jumping about.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Ben

Hi,

I'm not familliar with the Macbook Pro, but are there any settings where you can go in and change the settings to make sure it is outputting the correct signal.

For example, if your TV is a UK model you need it to be set to PAL (a US model will need to be set to NTSC).

The AppleTV I have (similar software to Mac OS) is connected to a scart socket and once it was set for PAL, I had to chose from a list of outputs - 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p & 480p to make it work.

You might need to experiment!
