If you use a thumb drive or external hard drive with the BeoSound 5 Encore, can you use the MOTS and storage reference functions for the music files stored on those drives? I was told that the flash drive contents would have to be accessed under AUX on the BeoSound 5 Encore, which would render MOTS useless for that type of storage. Is that true? My original understanding is that the AUX input was only for stand alone music players connected through the analog phono jack and controlled externally.
I like the look of the BS5E but don't like the idea of having a big, black 500GB box wired to it to access all of my music files that can easily fit on a 20GB thumb drive.
