Hi all,
I have just acquired a black/rosewood BM 2000 Type 2801, based on reports of its excellent sound and its beautiful minimalist looks. Mine doesn't work yet but is in almost new cosmetic condition. There are no obvious signs of overheating or problems etc other than both 1A slow blow supply fuses being blown. I replaced these and they blew again.
To conduct fault finding I am after a Service Manual but cannot find anything other than a basic circuit diagram online and nothing on eBay etc. Does anybody have access to a full Service Manual? I'm also planning to replace the BM 2000's capacitors, bulbs and trimmers to refurb the electronics. I also have a one owner from new matching BC 2000 that will need new belts and a recap.
I recently managed to get a Beocord 9000 working by replacing all axial capacitors, re-soldering a couple of dry joints and I replaced the faulty LED display and the duff mains transformer with good ones from a scrapped BC 6000. It sounds and looks fantastic paired with my recapped BM 6000!
Many thanks in advance for any leads.
There is a Service Manual for your model on the Beoworld web site, but you will need to upgrade your membership to download it.
Regards Keith....

Done - and I now have the Service manual - many thanks!
Now to get to work on the BM....
Probably one of mine! Some of my scans are not brilliant so if there are bits you need a better bit of, let me know!

Peter,
Many thanks - all seems pretty clear from the scans. Very grateful for your input.
