Dear forum-members
Recently, the tone arm of my Beogram 4000 won't lower anymore: I press start, the tone arm moves to the first track, I hear a click and then nothing happens. I found that some other Beogram 4000 owners also startet a thread for this problem and lubrication should fix the problem but what parts do you need to lubricate (what kind of lubricate do you need, WD-40?) and how can it be done (how can you have acces to the elements that need to be lubricated, how to disassemble it).
Any help is appreciated!
Wannes
Hi, and welcome to Beoworld!
About lubrication, look here: http://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/37107/307987.aspx#307987

Never, NEVER EVER, use WD40 in B&O items, use a good sewing machine oil or silicone grease, or Liquid Bearings (Oil)
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
WD what?
:-)
Asking for advice is fair and nice, but it'd be even nicer to keep us posted once problem solved - or not for that matter!
