As mentioned elsewhere I have been redecorating the room with my my BV7 and BL9s. I had an in home demo of 5s for several weeks and have decided against them. I have changed my 9s to white and now need to do something with my blue 4000s as rears.

I have thought of a second pair of 9s, or at the other end of the price spectrum, buying the parts to change my blue 4000s to silver with white frets. I have also thought of 12-3s although I do not like wall mounting speakers for some reason, and I do not care for the appearance of 3s.

I have thought of the 3s, 9s, or 12s as a means of having ALT all around. At one point in time I had my BL1s as rears and loved the way they sounded.

I am now thinking perhaps 8002s would be a good choice for the rears. From a design and visual aspect for the room, they would be the best choice. Also, it would give me a chance/excuse to purchase one of the most iconic B and O pieces there is.

My question is whether there really is much benefit to having ALT all around such that  should forget about the 8002 idea.

Thanks for any thoughts anybody might have.

Thanks!
