I have a beo link 7000 ,, I had the batt replaced 1x before but now doesnt hold the charge other wise the device is in excellent condition how much is this worth?
Thanks for the input
Fully working after an overhaul (IMO new EL lamp, lithium cell, main batteries and 2-way electrolytics replaced) I would say they are worth up to about £350 I guess. If mint but the back light is original and no battery pack I personally wouldn't pay more than about £150. That's me I am sure others have different ideas!
Oh to clarify mint means not a single hairline scratch or mark and no signs of previous service etc...

Sorry to be slightly off-topic, but have to ask: How hard it is to replace the EL-lamp and the lithium cell? I have done the other two repairs to my BL7000. How much does the EL-replacement enhance the display readability?
Not too hard, if you have done the smt capacitors it is possibly on par with them. Depending on the EL panel you purchase might have more bearing on the difficulty. You normally have to cut it down to size but how it terminates can dictate things. There is also a SMT transistor that should be replaced as these seem to go weak which results in too low voltage from the DC-DC converter.
For a faded display the first issue is above but there is also the ability to adjust contrast internally but this really should not need to be touched, maybe corrected though! You can check for correct + / - 5V on the pot with respect to ground if the EL is ok.
The Battery again is not too bad however great care must be taken to ensure no tracks are offered to the battery terminals and on no certain terms must the little blighter be shorted :)
