HI! i got a BS Century but did not have remote to test it at the time of buying when i got the remote it just doesn't respond at all. I already activated the remote function on the Century ( press standby>sound>1>store) then cleaned the IR sensor, still no response. .Can i just change the remote sensor  ? Any suggestions, please.

According to the workshop manual, Sound-1-Store disables the remote function.

It is activated by Sound-0-Store.

Yes, so does my printed version tell, too.

BUT the german setup tells it's just the other way round - and YES, that is true.

I tried it on my century and definitely SOUND 1 STORE does ENABLE remote, SOUND 0 STORE does DISABLE.

So that's not iirshad's problem Sad

Hi there.
Is it still not working?

I bought a Century a few months ago - and it has a rather strange behaviour....Hmm

When I plug it to mains, it doesn't respond to the remote immediately. But when it has been plugged for half an hour or so - then suddently it responds to the remote and so it does hereafter. I can even turn it off (standby) and turn it on again with the remote -as long as the main is plugged.
If I pull the plug and plug it in the day after, then the same happens again - only after half an hour it responds to the remote again.
Very strange...Confused

There must be a small battery for the memory functions, check it or change it.

Thank You, Søren. I'll check that when I get the time. Until then, I'll just keep it plugged in.

Hi iiirishad

could you solve the problem, that the century had no reaction on the remote control?

I have the same problem. it works a long time, but now, no action if I put something on the remote control, but it works with other b&o systems.

thank you
