Hi

I've finally upgraded my AVANT with BV11-46. I Can't get audio on my BV setup like I use to do with selection of AV, then source ie. CD on my BEO4 like i use to. I Can play audio as Home Media from my BM5 on my BV but not audio from BS5.

setup:

BS5/BM5 OPT 0 no speakers, BV11 OPT 2 with BL8000 and SUB connected, via router and ML Converter.

Tried All kind of programming under LIST on BEO4, BV11 setup, but No luck.

Hi HVD,

what do mean by: ""via router and ML converter"?

And why did you previous have to use the 'AV' button before the 'audio source'  to link it to your Avant?

Hi MM

I use to have my BS/BM5 with BL3 and my AVANT with BL8000 and both set to OPT2 and connected via Master Link. When I would like to play Audio from my BS5 on the BL8000, I had to press 'AV - GO - CD or RADIO' on my Beo4 to play CD/RADIO

I would like to select Music on the BS5 and play it on my BL8000 (and later BL3 as rear speakers) which are connected to BV11 and set to OPT 2. My BS5 is set to OPT 0. This is to be avle to select Music on BS5 and play with out turning on my BV11. I Can play BM5 Music on BV via Home Media selection and then select tracks on my BV screen via Beo4 -Sounds great, I love the BV11 sound!!!

My setup is BM5 connected to BeoLink Converter NL/ML via Master Link cable. ML Converter is connected via Network Link plug in to a Air Port Extreme and the Air Port to LAN on my BV 11. I have not connected any thing on my RJ45 (ML) plug in  on the ML Converter - don't know what it's used for?

Is my setup wrong or do I just not select the correct on the Remote? I've not configured anything on the BV regarding BS/BM5!

can I get the BS5 selected music through the speakers on BV and how.

Thx.

Henrik

Add on: If I Press CD and Radio nothing happens on my BS5. This use to be my BS5 Remote control. Seams like BV has Control of that now. The BV does not play any Music though, but volume Control with CD on Beo4 enables volume Control on the BV!

". I have not connected any thing on my RJ45 (ML) plug in  on the ML Converter - don't know what it's used for?"

You can only use either the old ML or the new RJ.

Connections seems to be ok.

Did you set up the converter yourself? No dealer involved??

Did you do any configuration of it?

Is the BeoLink Converter NL/ML activated in the ‘Product Integration Menu’ in BeoVision 11?

How is your BM5 connected to the network?

I set it all up myself. I didn't do any configuration.

I found the 'Product Integration Menu' in BV11, which I've not configed. I activated the BL converter NL/ML and tried to set 'VM-OPTION' under B&O connect to opt 1 and 2 with the same problem. When I select CD or Radio, the message in danish is 'FRA BeoLink Converter NL/ML Mislykkedes' which means '.... Unsuccesfull'. This is the same whith BS5/BM5 option set to either 0, 1 or 2.

My BM5 is connected with ML to the BL converter and it is also connected via LAN to the same router as well as the BV11 and BL Converter.

How should sound selected on BS5 be played on my BV11 speakers. Is it by pressing CD/RADIO on Beo4 and option 0 selected, and will it work with BV11 in STBY and power save mode.

Note: I have moved, and so fare I have no internet (3G mobile only), but the dealer updated it before delivery, so it should work without internet connection I assume?

What to do;(

Ok, did your dealer really hand you the ML/NL-converter over without any information how to configure your setup?

Or didn't you want to pay for the support due to a better/lower price for that thing?

In my opinion, he should at least have asked you, if you are able set it up by yourself.

He is not doing Bang & Olufsen a favour leaving you on your own!

Some people can, some can't - it is not meant to be 'plug'n'play'!

Anyway, you need more help!

If it is not possible to get it from your dealer - send me a PM, så jeg kan se om jeg kan hjælpe dig videre Smile

I've moved abroad and First setup of BV11 had to be away from Denmark were I bought the TV. Therefor I could not have a dealer install it. I Will contract the dealer in Denmark, and if they can't help me, skriver jeg til dig MM. Tak for hjælpen pt.

Finally Got it nailed.

I phonede a log with the dealer and we tried working the problem with a software room for iPad/iPhone Called 'Fing'. In port 80 scan we looked it All through and could not solve it, neither could B&O Struer. What we agreed on What's to wait untill I Got Internet connection installed.

The internet connection didn't initially solve the problem. Could still nor connect through the BeoLink NL/ML Converter. I then updated my BV11 (Update from 8/7-2013), and then it All worked as it should.

Special thx to Millemissen for the help!
