Hi, just a quick question - I mainly watch Lovefilm and Netflix and don't have satellite or digital tv - can anyone tell me if  the V1 and V2 have these apps on board and also BBCiPlayer and any other ones please?

I paid the extra £100 for it on mine but apparently most of it is on a BluRay player.

The BBC iPlayer is on the BV11, but the ITV equivalent is not present. I assume the V-1 is similar. I was told that this was a licensing issue that B&O had still got to sort out, but they are taking their time if that is the case.

Hi, there is an internet browser on board so you can set web pages as favourites and be able to use any web based streaming service. I believe this is how you can use Netflix, Spotify and others. iPlayer, YouTube - and others - have their own apps on board.

Presumably this works if you have made your own subscription or are using a free streaming service, but services like the iTV player need the computer or TV manufacturer to pay for a licence in the first place. I could not get the iTV player to work on the TV Internet browser and the B&O dealer confirmed that it was a licensing issue.

I was interested to see if Spotify would work via the internal Internet browser but sadly it doesn't as it requires flash.

I will continue to use an Apple TV for this purpose which works brilliantly and if I want to stream Netflix this can also be done via ATV. Sadly I can't see B&O paying for the licences when there is already a £99 box available that can do it all.

It would be an odd solution to turn on a big screen just to hear music from Spotify.

Much easier by the way to search on the iDevice,  and send it to the ATV on the V1 - since you only need the loudspeaker for Spotify.

OK, not nescesarry, if you already have a ATV, but I  recon it won't be long untill we will have Netflix on the V1/BV11/BSys4.

Philips just updated their SmartTV function, and B&O uses the same services.

Time will tell if it will be easier to have that as an app on the tv - searching might be easier, if you use the BeoRemote.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
