Hi

When I use my set top box with my bv 7 40 mk3 (beoystem 3 inside), if I take too much time to select a channel. Then I loose the sound. I have to select another input and return to the good one.

It seems that the tv detects that there is nothing in the input during this laps of time.(hdmi connected)

Is there something wrong in my setup ?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Would say a 'handshake problem'.

Have you tried to use another HDMI cable?

Whe the HDMI cable is good, try to find out if the PUC cable is correct connected to the Beovision and the settopbox. Is the IR-eye of the PUC-cable placed in the middle of your IR -receiver of the settopbox? Do other function of your settopbox react correctly? Just a few suggestions to make sure the PUC-cable is fine. You could even try another PUC input on your Beovision (do not forget to rename the command!). Suc6!

Did/do you have the opprtunity to try with another settop-box?

Do you have the right PUC entry for the box - sometimes there are more/different ones?

Sorry, I made a mistake, I mean the tv decoder of my internet provider not a set top box with PUC.

I use the remote of this decoder.

Can you tell us what kind of tv decoder you are using? Perhaps it can be controlled by a PUC-code so you can use your Beo-remote for all your video commands. It is even possible to flash your television by the dealer for a specific PUC code.
