Hello, I cannot win lately with my B&O stuff! My Beocenter 7700 left channel is cutting in and out, and is cured with a simple on/off. Once back on it performs fine then cuts out after about 10 mins. Any suggestions to remedy the situation? Do I need a recap or could it be a simple connector loose? The unit was bought in 1985 bought looks pretty much brand new with next to no use.
Is the problem on all sources and on both speaker sets ?
Martin
Both speakers don't work on speaker A, both DID work perfectly on speaker B until recently. Tried my RL60.2 and the S45s that came with it originally. Putting it in standby cures it for a while but then it appears again. I have a spare Beocenter 7000 that I picked up for just the cartridge and remote terminal parts to fix a shabby Beolab Terminal. Could any parts be salvaged from this unit?
Contrary to what I previously wrote, it only cuts out on Left channel regardless if the speakers are on A or B. Right channel works on both A or B. I opened the Beocenter 7700 up to investigate and I don't know where to start. I pulled the connectors in and out to re-seat them and its still cutting out- although now its not totally cutting out- its just fading in and out. It happens on all 3 sources (turntable/radio/tape). Any help/assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
